The University of Windsor Faculty Association passed a BDS motion on academic freedom, preservation of Palestinian education, and solidarity with Palestine. The motion, which passed on April 12, 2024, calls on the University of Windsor to divest its pension funds from companies that are complicit in Israeli war crimes and illegal occupation, end its ties with companies and institutions that are complicit in trading arms with Israel, end its cooperation with Israeli academic and cultural institutions, and foster links with Palestinian universities and academics. It also calls for a permanent ceasefire.
