The Athabasca University Faculty Association passed a BDS motion on June 3, 2024. The motion  calls to investigate and end the University’s ties to the Israeli military, build relationships with Palestinian universities and provide support for Palestinian students enrolling at at Athabasca University. It also calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and divestment from companies doing business with the Israeli government.
